Wednesday Challenge- Goals
Happy Hump Day! Hope your day is going well. I've been up and at em' very early this morning and I have no idea why. :) But because of it, I was able to do everything I needed to do and can go and visit my LSS to get some stuff. I got my coupon and figured I might as well use it before it expires.
Before we starting talking about this week's Challenge, I wanted to announce last week's winner...KATHERINE!!! Congratulations. Please email me at vvillasenor@instylestampsdotcom (remember to put a . where it says dot and there are 2 v's in the front.)
This week's challenge I think is very beneficial. I know it is to me. I'm a very organized person. I usually keep my files up to date and make lists. I always plan ahead and have a to do list. Now following the to do list is another story, but for the most part it keeps me focused.
This year I decided to make a bind it all book for my goals. It's small and sturdy enough that I can put it in my purse. I did this because I'm soo tired of little slips of paper everywhere lol.
So here is what I did:

And view of the entire width of it:

I used my bind it all and created the cover out of coasters. I adhered patterned paper to the front and solid paper to the inside covers. I sanded the paper flush with the cover. I embellished and Voila!
I didn't add lines to my list because honestly I tend to erase more when I write off the line. I know that sounds crazy, but my writing has to be directly on the line not above it or below it so I decided not to do that to myself lol.
I used Molly as my image because most of my goals entail shopping of some sort. Plus she is so darn cute! And if you use the link on the side bar you will receive 5% off instantly should you want to purchase her.
So for the challenge, make a goal list. It doesn't have to be a book. It can be as simple as a to do list. You don't have to use an ISS image, but if you got one why not?
Post a link to your card via mr. linky or post by no later than 11:59 pm PST, Tuesday, February 2nd. The winner will receive a digital image of their choice. Good luck!

6. A link to your blog and gallery on SCS, PCP, or any place else you like to hang out.
7. A brief “about me” summary to include; interests, crafting history, etc. Whatever you would like us to know about you and your experience.
Because you will need to share your InStyle Stamps creations, you are required to have a well-maintained blog for posting your artwork and any information concerning InStyle Stamps. Ability to photograph and post your creations is a must.
InStyle Stamps designers are required to create 6 projects per month. These projects are as follows:

As a part of the InStyle Stamps team, you will be able to choose which images you would like to work with. You will receive a selection sheet of images 10 days prior to the start of the next month.
Please note that all images are provided digitally, so the ability to print the images is a must. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable working with digital stamps.
We have a yahoo group dedicated to the Design Team. You would be expected to join this group & participate in discussions with others as well as giving suggestions or ideas when asked. Please keep in mind you will receive emails.
As a DT member, we would like to see you posting your creations in online stamping community galleries, such as Splitcoast Stampers and Paper Craft Planet. This will help to increase exposure to our stamps and images.
The Perks:
You will get a badge to display on your blog to show that you are a part of the InStyle Stamps Anime DT!!
Every month you will get 6 digital stamps to design with. They are yours to keep. Remember we require at least 6 projects per month. The projects you create as part of your design team requirements are also yours to keep. You will also receive 2 freebie images of your choice.
You will receive a welcome kit full of goodies.
You get a 35% discount on website purchases for as long as you are on the design team.
You will be able to purchase some products (not sold in our store) at a 50% discount.

Wednesday Challenge: SWEETS!
Happy Wednesday!!
I'm back again for another Wednesday Challenge! Can you believe that Valentine's Day is already less than a month away? With that in mind- I challenge YOU this week to make a card or project that incorporates a "SWEETS" theme! Can be anything- cupcakes, candy- you name as long as it screams SWEETS!
Here is the card I made using (the newly released) Lisa, making a delivery of some sweet cupcakes (also found in the ISS store here)!

One lucky participant will be randomly chosen to receive a digi image of their choice as well as an ISS winner badge to display on your blog! Use an InStyle Stamps image if you have one, but if you don't that's ok too! Please upload the direct link to your card or project by 12pm PST Tuesday, January 26th.
Hope to see you play along!!

Method Monday - Crayon Box
Hello Everyone!!!
Welcome to Method Monday. Hope you are all enjoying your Monday. I'm Raquel-- your hostess this week. Today I have a super cute tutorial for you all...it's a Crayon Box which I learned to make from this site.
It can be used for any occasion. I made this one for Valentines.
The Supplies You'll Need:
9.25" x 6" Cardstock
3.25" x 3.25" acetate
Circle Nestabilities (or other cutting system)
12" and 18" gross grain ribbon
double-sided adhesive tape
dimensional glue dots
1. Score 9.25" x 6" cardstock at 3.5", 4.5", 8" and 9 across the short side. Score at 1" across the long side. Fold on the scored lines. Cut along solid black lines (see below photo).
2. Cut circular window from one of the 3.5" panel. Create scallop frame for window opening.
3. With double sided adhesive tape, adhere 1" of the 12" of ribbon to the top of the inside of the window. Do the same at the bottom inside with the 18" ribbon.
4. Create and adhere box together.
5. Cut 3.5" circle using Nestiabilities or other cutting system. Score 1/2" on either side of center of the circle.
6. Apply adhesive to one side of the scored circle and attach to back of crayon box, folding the remaining portion over the top and front of the box. Adhere acetate and scallop frame for window around front of window.
7. Stamp and cut out image. Fill box as desired and wrap ribbon around and tie in bow.

Pretty cool tutorial, huh?!!
I hope you enjoyed my simple tutorial!! I can’t wait to see your creations!! Please link back with your crayon box creations in the comment section, I would love to see them.
Hugs,
Raquel

New Anime Images
I couldn't contain myself. I got back 6 new anime girls from one of the artists and they are FANTASTIC! I mean they are wayyyy cute!
We are going to be doing a series of them. And these have backgrounds and different poses. You will not be disappointed. They are some of our best yet.
We are working on our Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and other Holiday images. Even more digital papers.
I know I'm teasing you, but I couldn't contain myself! 2010 is going to be the best year ever for ISS.
Stay tuned, once they are finalized, I will show you a sneak peek of one. I think we will do a extra release this month perhaps because I won't be able to hold out all the way till next month, plus we have more spring images to release. :)
Have a great weekend!

Over the Hump Blog Candy Give-A-Way
Thanks again for joining us for our OTHDBCGA! I want to apologize for the Mr. Linky situation. It seems that for the challenges at times, the linky wasn't working. Well we got it all squared away and you should now be able to post your links to your projects via Mr. Linky or through the comments. Thanks for being patient with that.
Now onto the winner from last month. The prize was 3 copic markers. And the winner is....mgcreative! You have 48 hours to claim your prize. Email me at v villasenor @instylstamps.com (make sure to remove the spaces). Congratulations!
Now onto this month's Give-a-way. The theme for this month with V-Day around the corner is Hearts. Honestly I'm not a really mushy type person. So I don't get all goo-goo eyed about this holiday, but when I was a kid, I use to love to get V-Day cards and usually I was pretty popular. :) This year my 7 year old sister and I are going to be making some cute little projects for her classmates and she is bursting at the seams to get started. I have to keep reminding her it's a month away. She is such a girly girl so she is all about love and hearts.
Here are the projects some of the girls made:
Virginia

Jodi

Julie
Lana

Genevieve

Margie

Piali

This month's prize is 5 digital images of your choice! All you have to do is post a link to your favorite V-Day card. It could be yours, a friend's creation, etc. You have until 11:59 pm PST on February 16th to post a link to your favorite Valentine Day Card. The winner will be announced by 6:00 pm PST February 17th during OHBCGA.
Good luck! Have fun. :)
